How do I apply?
If you're interested in any program, please visit the Program page, click on the "Apply Now" button, and complete the application form. Once submitted, we will review your application and send you a selection email with an invoice, which must be paid within 15 days of receiving the email. The program fee is required for participation. You can either pay the $199 application fee upfront and settle the remaining balance 15 days before your arrival or after arriving in the country. Upon confirmation of your initial payment, you'll receive a welcome kit with details such as arrival airport information, contact person, packing list, visa reference letter, and more.
When should I book my flights and visa?
After completing the payment, you may apply for your visa. You will receive instructions via email on how to apply and which visa to obtain. Once you receive your visa (typically within 7 days), you can book your flights. Please send your flight details and visa copy to me to notify the pick-up team.
Who will handle my pick-up?
A dedicated team member and company taxis will manage your pick-up. You will receive this information 15 days before your arrival.
Will I stay in a volunteer house or with a host family?
You can choose to stay either in a volunteer house or with a host family. The cost is the same for both options.
Are cultural classes free?
Some cultural classes are free, if you select your program location as India then the Indian dress workshop, temple visits, and Hindi lessons. Others have a fee: yoga, cooking, and henna classes are 5 Euros each, while food walks, Bollywood movies, and Bollywood dance classes are 10 Euros. Blue pottery and clay pottery classes are 15 Euros each. Cultural classes are different in every country, you will receive this information in your welcome kit that you will receive after the payment of the initial application fee.
How can I arrange a weekend trip?
The local team will organize optional weekend trips. You will be added to a participants’ WhatsApp group where information about trips and experiences is shared. You can also inquire directly about available options.
What if I get sick or face an emergency?
The local team is experienced in handling emergencies and medical conditions. Based on your medical insurance, they will take you to the nearest affiliated hospital.
What if I am vegan or have dietary restrictions?
Please inform the staff upon arrival about your dietary needs. They will accommodate vegan diets and ensure your dietary restrictions are met. Some program locations have limitations, we will let you know about it.
Can I travel with a friend or partner? Can I get a single room?
Yes, you may travel alone, with friends, a partner, family, or colleagues. Single rooms are available with a host family at an additional cost of 50 Euros per week, but depends on the availability.
How is local transportation? Can I book it easily?
Local transportation is easily accessible through services such as Uber, Ola, Grab, Pathao, and Rapido. You may also share rides with other volunteers to reduce costs. Every program country have different transportation medium. You will receive this information before 15 days from your arrival.
Can I get a drop-off to the airport?
Yes, airport drop-off is provided. In some countries only one transfer is provided, we will send you the information.
If I need to leave the program early, can I get a refund?
No refunds are available after arrival at the program location.
What if I need to cancel my program before arrival? Can I get a refund?
Cancellations made at least 7 days before arrival are eligible for a 100% refund. Cancellations made after this period will receive a 75% refund.
Can I change my program after booking?
Program changes are not permitted once booked. However, you may request an alternative experience of the same price if available, through the local team.
What kind of clothing should I bring?
Details about appropriate clothing will be provided after booking, based on the time of year and program location.
Can I extend my stay or program?
Extensions are possible by paying the additional weekly rate to the local program manager. You may also change your location, such as moving from Jaipur to Pushkar, the Himalayas, or Goa. Or changing the country as well, India to Nepal, Sri Lanka, Africa and others.
